David Shetler

My name is David Shetler I am a retired Army Officer with almost 23 years of military service. I have a BA from Harding University and a BSN from Arkansas Tech University. I have been a Registered Nurse for almost 30 years. I retired from all my professional duties, I am serving the best employer in the world, the Lord. I have devoted my life to serving the Lord, with a Christian ministry in the Philippines. The ministry is called “Saving Souls for Christ” and it is based on Church of Christ doctrine.

Matthew 9:37 Jesus says the “harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few”. Certainly, that is true in the Philippines, the people are spiritually hungry, however there are few workers in the Lord’s vineyard. With that in mind, our ministry developed a combination of programs for that Philippines: 1). Adopt a Church of Christ Preacher in the Philippines 2). Robust Bible Campaign 3). Preacher Training Center 4). Children Feeding Program. Our programs are having tremendous success bringing SOULS to CHRIST in the Philippines.

These wonderful programs have helped us produce 420 Baptisms in as little as 17 months (24 Baptisms per month). There are many large cities in America, adding up all the Church of Christ Congregations in that city, they are not averaging 24 Baptisms a month. Thanks to our Lord for this tremendous accomplishment, and others as well, our Lord deserves all the credit.

We are very appreciative to our Lord for the many blessings he has given this Christian ministry in the Philippines. We had to overcome a virus crisis, the worse Typhoon damage in Philippines history, and many other challenges as well, to accomplish the will of the Lord. Despite the many challenges we face daily, we were able to bring 420 SOULS into Christ family, in as little as 17 months of working in the LORD’S Vineyard.

We need help with funding, we need charitable donations to keep these wonderful programs functioning for the Lord. We need funds to help support preachers, train preachers, distribute Bibles, and feed malnourished children.
